PATER NOSTER
1988. 25
X 27cm (closed).
Edition of 5 similar but not identical copies.
The Latin text of the Lord's Prayer
is embossed onto Fabriano paper coloured with inks and acrylic. The pages increase
in size forming a stairway when pulled out. The book is covered with painted
fabric, decorated with felt and embroidery and is held in a painted wrapper.
I thought of
this work as a portable altar, a joyful prayer.
